This is what many of us see and know a church meeting to be. We may even recognize ourselves as one of the sign holders. There can be no growth or real substantial blessing of maturity in Christ when we have a self serving view of service, learning and teaching. These attitudes are all SELF-CENTERED! In order for God to bring us from GLORY to GLORY, when we say that He promised to give us the desires of our hearts… we must realize that if we are truly delighting ourselves in Him that His hearts desire will be the ONLY desire of our hearts.
The “church” (religious organizations) is too busy for the body of Christ. We are chosen to minister to the body and tell a lost and dying world about the Love of Christ and His sacrifice of great obedience to the Father that we may live eternally with Him.
We have so many events to schedule and prepare, conferences, retreats and busy business stuff that we rarely get around to what we are called to do. We are called to be the embodiment and reflection of Christ in this world, just as He was that of the Father when He walked the earth.
Last night I pondered every thought and Word that the Lord brought to my heart. I heard Him very clearly: What if you had to make an appointment to have a talk with me? What if you had to leave messages on my voicemail or shoot me an email? What if I told you I was busy right now or I had a day filled with business meetings?
Then afterward I thought; what if Jesus had a business office when He lived among us? What if Paul was gone off to the Apostles conferences and could not be reached?
Has God spoke to you lately? Have you been sidetracked from your calling?
