I DO NOT UNCONDITIONALLY stand WITH Israel, nor do I stand against Israel. This has become some POLITICAL Christian mantra and BULLY PULPIT these days to stand beside Israel WITHOUT QUESTION. IT IS NOT BIBLICAL!
I will ONLY stand with CHRIST JESUS and THAT is TRUSTWORTHY.
I can only go so far as the Word of God commands and pray for the peace of God’s City Jerusalem. But I will only stand with Christ and NOT Israel. No where in the word are Christians told or commanded to stand with Israel! Why do we add these things to the Word of God. How do we decided for everyone what God is desiring when His Word is clear and concise.
I will not pledge allegiance to your FLAGS …I pledge my ALLEGIANCE to my LORD. I refuse to ADVOCATE and WHINE for PRAYERS in SCHOOLS… PRAYER begins AT HOME… it is NOT the schools job to teach your children to be civilized any more than it is to teach them to pray. The constitution says separation of church and state. Why should children of other beliefs be forced to pray as you or I pray? I certainly would not want this for my child if the tables were turned. America is supposedly built on the idea of religious freedom… or is that just another lie we are fed to believe while trampling on the rights of others? Furthermore when a child learns prayer at home, he/she should then in turn be wise enough to know that they can pray at anytime ANYWHERE. Personal prayer is not to be some outward pious show of devotion… but an inward outreaching to the God of Heaven and Earth that adds to our growth in faith and Spiritual well being. (or maybe that’s just me)
As for this Israel obsession and “POLITICAL” stance that the church has taken; THUS SAYS THE WORD OF GOD:
I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Our feet are standing in your gates, Jerusalem. Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together. That is where the tribes go up— the tribes of the Lord— to praise the name of the Lord according to the statute given to Israel. There stand the thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:”
“May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity. ~ Psalm 122:1-9
