The Words of My Mouth & My Hearts Meditation

Living our life in Christ, promotes changes that sometimes we may not be aware of. There are times when I will think something very negative and immediately I feel that sinking feeling and I repent of the thought. Or have you ever in a moment of impulse blurted out words that you wanted to take back immediately? Do you think about the consequences upon others regarding what you may say or do before you act on it?
This is living “IN” Christ.

In the past I would say and do a thing and that was that… it’s over, a done deal and it’s a wrap. As I grow in Christ, that still small voice guides me to recognize what I am thinking and saying. Often I repent of the words before they hit my tongue. As for the thought that is not stellar? God please forbid it… bind it up and cast it out.

The closer I walk with Him in faith… the more I am able to see and acknowledge and repent of my shortcomings in thoughts, words and deeds. I am not good or perfect… BUT He is. I can only overcome because the Lord makes me to do so when I am open to His counsel.

I have a deeper understanding of David’s words:
“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.” ~Psalm 19:14
