There is much controversy on whether our Lord died on Friday or Wednesday. The truth of the matter and the fact of the matter is that he died for us. Many try to find error in the Word of God; but God doesn’t err. No matter how we calculate the timing of events; according to the Word of God it was prophesied by Isaiah long before Jesus was born: “He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” ~ Isaiah 53:5
Paul wrote: “For what I received I passed on to you as of “FIRST IMPORTANCE”: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,”
1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
So today let us not have fruitless arguments over timing… let us praise Him. Worthy is the Lamb of God to merit our praise and worship today… and each and every day!
